Idols & Advantages

Overview

Idols and advantages are exciting and potentially game-changing elements of Survivor at Home!

You will need to read more about finding and playing idols in the full game instructions. But we wanted to give you some extra tips here.

On Searching for Idols & Advantages

You can search for idols and advantages anytime during the event, but you should know there is rarely - if ever - a designated time to look. This means you will have to search while conversations are happening, during challenges, etc… But it’s risky if you get caught not paying attention.

Based on previous seasons, some contestants simply choose not to search for idols or advantages. And others go all out, right out of the gate. It’s something you’ll want to think about beforehand!

Important: During Tribal Council, you are still welcome to look for idols or advantages on the website. But we will not be replying to any emails during this time. Very specifically, this means if you send us a message saying you have found a new idol/advantage, we will not be able to verify it until after Tribal Council. This is different from playing an idol or advantage you already have in your possession, or find elsewhere.

If you have questions about this, you should ask us beforehand.

More Details on Searching

The main place to look for idols & advantages is a page called “explore the island,” which we will share with you during the event. But you may also come across clues elsewhere, including (but not limited to) on screen during a challenge or in your email inbox.

Please remember that new idols and advantages will be hidden at various times throughout the event, which means they might be in a place you looked before (including your inbox and the website) - make sure to check back often.

Below you’ll see an example of the “explore the island” page. In the event, there are many more pictures to search through.

See if you can figure it out!
